About

Hey, I’m the coder behind this site.

I’ve been writing code professionally for a while now — and like most developers, I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time researching tools, second-guessing setups, and falling down rabbit holes just to figure out what actually works.

That’s what this blog is for.

The Quick Brown Coder is where I document the things I’ve already tested so you don’t have to. No fluff, no affiliate-first recommendations, no “top 10 tools” lists padded with things I’ve never opened. Just honest takes from someone who uses this stuff day to day.

What you’ll find here

  • AI coding tools — what’s actually useful vs. what’s just hype
  • Dev gear and setups — keyboards, monitors, peripherals worth the money
  • Productivity tools — the software that genuinely saves time
  • Code tips and shortcuts — things I wish I’d known earlier
  • Side project resources — hosting, deployment, and tools for building on your own

Why “The Quick Brown Coder”?

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog — the classic sentence that uses every letter of the alphabet. Typists use it. Developers type for a living.

It felt right.

Got a question or a tool you want me to review?

I’m always looking for things worth writing about. If you’ve got a dev tool you’re curious about or a setup question, reach out — I read everything.

A few things I believe:

  • The best tool is the one you’ll actually use
  • Honest reviews beat sponsored ones every time
  • Every developer is still learning — including me
